A smoke grenade, often called a smoke, is a throwable utility item in Counter-Strike 2 that creates a temporary smoke cloud to block vision. It is used to cut off sightlines, cover movement, defuse or plant safely, and help teams control space on the map.

Smokes are a core part of strategy because they can hide player positions, delay pushes, and make bombsite takes or retakes harder to read.
