Tunnels (often called “Tuns” or “Upper/Lower” on Dust II) is the underground passage that connects the Terrorist side of the map to Mid and the B site area. The term usually refers to the two connected sections: Upper Tunnels and Lower Tunnels.
In Counter-Strike 2, control of Tunnels matters because it provides a hidden route for attacks, rotations, and flanks, while also creating close-range fights and sound cues that can reveal movement.
